I finally saw one of my best friend’s last week after not seeing her for months. We laughed so hard breathing seemed impossible. It felt great.
The greatest laugh we had that day was when she was browsing her phone and she sounded distressed. Naturally I was curious and concerned, so I ask her what was wrong. She showed me a picture someone posted of a pizza falling out of the oven, landing face down on the floor. It was the saddest food related thing I have ever seen.
As a joke I said, “for this difficult time, let us have a moment of silence.”
It was probably for about ten seconds, but the fact that we actually did it is super lame. Not long after, the silence was interrupted with us in hysterics. That moment alone described what our friendship is all about. I loved it, thinking about it now makes me smile.
Are your friends lame like my friends and I?
